Associate Pastor of Worship

First Baptist Church in Bay Minette, prayerfully seeks an Associate Pastor of Worship to lead the church in Christ-centered, gospel-focused worship. Bay Minette is located in North Baldwin County and serves as the county seat. The North Baldwin County area is experiencing notable growth. First Baptist is a thriving, multi-generational church that emphasizes the Word of God in preaching, teaching, and musical worship.

Our worship style is best described as intentionally blended. Every Sunday, our choir and instrumentalists lead the congregation in songs that engage both the mind and the heart of worship participants. We prioritize congregational singing and Choir anthems, as well as the use of praise teams and instrumentalists.

We are seeking a man called to vocational ministry who is musically gifted, doctrinally sound, and pastorally minded. This individual must be able to work with our pastoral and support staff to shepherd the church in worship and help raise the next generations of worshippers.

The Associate Pastor of Worship shall serve the Lord and First Baptist Bay Minette as a member of the Pastoral Staff. As Associate Pastor of Worship, he is responsible to the congregation, the Pastor, and the Personnel Committee, and will work in harmony with church committees to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of this ministry position.

General Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist the Pastor with worship planning.
• Continually seek God's will and guidance for the music/worship ministry of the Church.
• Coordinate a music ministry for preschool, grade school children, youth, and adults.
• Provide supervision for instrumentalists and the sound team.
• Be involved in weddings and funerals as related to music and technical support.
• Coordinate the music ministry with the church calendar and its emphasis.
• Direct the Sanctuary Choir, selecting appropriate music and guiding them in worshiping the Lord, thereby assisting the congregation in worship.
• Direct congregational worship through singing, selecting hymns or choruses that can aid the hearts of the worshippers in praise, adoration, and edification.
  
  

Compensation

The Associate Pastor of Worship will be a full-time, salaried employee of FBC, unless otherwise agreed upon. Compensation will be as established by the Personnel Committee.

Minimum Qualifications

The Associate Pastor of Worship should have knowledge, experience, skill, and spiritual maturity to lead FBC's music ministry effectively and efficiently. He needs to be capable of implementing and evaluating the ministry's effectiveness and work toward making it the best it can be in service to our Lord.
