Operator Technician III - Silverhill - Baldwin County Commission

About the position

Responsibilities

• Operate a minimum of eleven pieces of heavy equipment including dump trucks, backhoes, and bulldozers.
• Perform maintenance inspections on assigned equipment and notify supervisors of any failures.
• Assist in training and overseeing the performance of Equipment Operators I and II.
• Perform complex operations using heavy equipment for construction and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct routine manual labor such as clearing brush and repairing roads and bridges.
• Monitor equipment gauges and indicators for non-standard conditions during operation.
• Assist mechanics with repairs and maintenance of equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license is required.
• Minimum of three years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform complex operations with various types of heavy machinery.
• Skills in communication and basic math for operational tasks.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws.
