We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Mobile Infirmary Hospital. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. *Work Schedule:** Monday- Friday 2pm-10:30pm, with rotating weekends
*Work Location:** Mobile Infirmary Hospital 5 Mobile Infirmary Circle - Mobile AL
*Job Duties/Responsibilities:**

+ Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

+ Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

+ Process billing information and collect payments when required

+ Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

+ Maintain patient and specimen information logs

+ Receive and sort clinical lab specimens

+ Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information

+ Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance

+ Troubleshoot any specimen related issues

+ Replenish test bench supplies as needed

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment

+ Complete record logs and other administrative/clerical duties as requested

+ Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards

*Job Requirements:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required

+ Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

+ Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment

+ Comfortable working under minimal supervision

+ Reliable transportation required

+ Travel to additional sites when needed

+ Flexibility to work overtime as needed

+ Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
