Description of Responsibilities

Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, ensuring clear and compassionate communication at each step
Work closely with radiologists and referral physicians to guarantee the acquisition of high-quality diagnostic images
Effectively operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and ensure up-to-date patient records within the electronic medical system
Stay engaged with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and practices

Education Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and proper patient positioning
