Position Key Responsibilities

  • Receive customer orders and enter all details accurately into the TMS.
  • Update orders promptly when changes or cancellations occur.
  • Monitor container availability and status with ports, terminals, and rail ramps.
  • Communicate any delays or issues to customers immediately.
  • Plan and schedule container pickups to avoid demurrage charges.
  • Schedule delivery appointments and provide drivers with accurate instructions (BOL, PO, delivery notes).
  • Provide customers with timely updates throughout the delivery process.
  • Confirm return locations and cutoff times with steamship lines.
  • Coordinate empty returns to avoid per diem charges.
  • Build trust through accuracy, transparency, and proactive service.
  • Work closely with dispatch, warehouse, billing, and operations teams.
  • Assist with local driver scheduling and routing.
  • Communicate with drivers to resolve on-site issues in real time.
  • Support inbound and outbound scheduling with warehouse teams (Near Future)
  • Monitor inventory movements and ensure accurate documentation (Near Future)
  • Ensure all data is entered correctly for billing and compliance purposes (Near Future)

Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or drayage preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with TMS, CRM, or related systems is a plus.
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics or business preferred
